A New Era
Since 1964 industrial heating systems have been designed for world-wide use by this privately owned company in Remshalden near Stuttgart. Founded by Eduard Ness as an engineering company, the company has developed into a known leader for process heating systems in various industries.

NESS Wärmetechnik GmbH was among the first European firms to apply thermal transfer oil technology to industrial process heating in a variety of fields.
NESS & Co. GmbH is a medium-sized plant and machinery construction company for the food trade and allied industries. With over one hundred years of experience in the manufacturing of machinery and plants, constant customer orientation, and world-wide experience in the execution of projects makes us an experienced and reliable partner for our customers.
In modern buildings we have concentrated development, design, marketing and production of machinery in a single location. Our strong service team ensures professional installation and start-up on site and supports the customer throughout the life time of the plant.

For decades we have collaborated with leading research institutions in our sector both at home and abroad, which has meant that many universities now work and research new food products with our equipment installed in their premises.
We participate in research projects and undergraduate and doctoral theses, that are concerned with heat treatment, Smoking and Cooking technology, process management and protection of the environment.
The experience and knowledge gained by our engineers and service staff from projects is consequently being implemented in all other areas of the company. The large number of patents and registered designs that have been developed in our company, applied for and granted, substantiates this.
Current examples of this are the systematic further development of the friction smoke generators developed in our company, the implementation of the weight-dependent raw sausage maturing process, the enclosed smoking process in the environmentally friendly Circo Smoke System, the progressive hygiene edge on our cooking vessels, etc.
This continual endeavour for development has lead to an increased internationalisation.
The international orientation of our employees, many of whom speak a number of languages, our experience in many projects on all of the world's continents, and our many licenses and certifications - European Pressure Equipment Directive, ASME stamps, Russian Gost and Rostechnadzor, Chinese Boiler License - give NESS the ability to design, build, deliver, and maintain plants anywhere in the world.
