Solid Fuel Firing Heaters - Up to 6 MW

The heat exchanger is built in a horizontal serpentine-tube configuration. Either thermal oil or hot water can be used as the heat transfer medium. . The serpentine-tube configuration allows high pressures and temperatures when used as a hot water generator.

NESS pre-burning system, Type WEB, is a medium cooling furnace chamber that can be installed to work in connection with the horizontal serpentine-tube heaters (Type WEB and WE) as an exit-heat exchange system. Suitable mediums are thermal transfer oil and hot water.

  • For wood burning with:
    • Underfeed stoker up to 6 MW
    • As well as combined blown and underfeed stoker
  • For coal burning with underfeed stoker up to 6 MW

The optimum dimensions of the furnace chamber enables a good burn and low emission levels.

Single line current monitoring on a convection/waste-heat system after a stoker-fired furnace.

Solid Fuel Firing Heaters - More than 6 MW

Power range :                      up to 80 MW
Supply line temperature:  up to 320°C using appropriate heat transfer media.

For higher performance or temperatures please inquire.

The NESS hot-gas generator (model NHE) and thermal oil heater, with it's dust and/or stoker-fired furnace, can be used for almost all types of solid fuel. The heat extraction takes place in a downstream heater (model WEA). This heater can be used downstream for all established types of stoker-fired furnace.

The fuelling-optimised furnace chamber is lined with high-quality fire-resistant materials that have a long service life. In this way we achieve high availability and low maintenance.

The downstream waste heat exchanger is designed and calibrated to work with the designated fuel and firing mode. Optionally the heat will at first be released and the fumes will be cooled. In the subsequent convective area a low soiling tendency is reached because of the arrangement and distribution of the heating surfaces. Even difficult fuels allow for very good cleaning using an automated system. The necessary down-time is low.

The systems can be delivered complete or as waste heat systems, for example as part of an installations' modernisation.

As with all NESS plants, solid-fuel burners will satisfy the highest requirements for safety and availability. This is apparent in, among other things, the individual safeguarding of the parallel traces over flow controllers and in the deployment of high quality components from renowned manufacturers.

The construction follows European pressure equipment directives, ASME, Chinese Import Boiler and Pressure Vessel Safety Quality License, Gost and Rostechnadzor (for Russia and Ukraine). Please inquire for any other certification information.
